From Braids to Bold Colors, here’s what everyone’s doing this season

Copying a celeb's tresses hasn't historically worked well for us previously,I should know all to well about that, but before we throw in the hair towel, we’re checking in with a few of  top styles we can actually pull off. 5 Summer Hair Trends      BRAIDED UPDO   A loose braided updo is absolutely the  best  way to keep hair off your neck and face during the hot summer. You can achieve this with a braided side ponytail and a few bobby pins.  BALAYAGE HIGHLIGHTS This French highlighting technique, in which highlights are hand-painted onto the hair without the use of foils, produces beautiful, multidimensional color and tone, lightens and brightens all base colors, and is more flattering than traditional foil highlights. It's great for all hair colors--from brunettes to auburns to polar blonds. PIXIE CUTS   "We’re seeing short-hair trends for the upcoming summer season. Think pixie cuts with heavy highlights, and short and precis

This season’s hottest nail colors

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. It’s also one of the busiest. Save yourself a little bit of time and stress by knowing exactly which nail polish color to swipe onto your digits.  A GLISTENING GOLD Whereas a rich gold polish typically favors darker skin tones, a slightly muted version like this one can warm up fair skin as well. A ROSE-GOLD GLITTER It does not get much more festive than a coat of champagne-colored glitter all over your nails. Prefer a little more subtlety? Paint it just across the tips for an embellished French manicure and to disguise any chips. A COOL DOVE GRAY This is no ordinary gray. With fine flecks of shimmer in the otherwise opaque formula, it’s a tad more refined than any other we’ve tried. Dare we say we’ve found our new winter neutral? A CHROME-LIKE SILVER As far as accessories go, this reflective metallic holds its own. Though we certainly wouldn’t discourage adding any baubles to the mix. A DEEP

Is there Psychology Behind Your Outfit

Wear your heart on your sleeve  and your brain in your sweater. True Fact: Your emotional state is playing a huge role in your outfit today. Whether you woke up feeling ready to conquer the world or hide under a rock, the clothes you select out of your closet are a direct reflection of your current mood, even if you weren't consciously aware of it as you shuffled around in your closet. "Clothing doesn't just influence others, it reflects and influences the wearer's mood, many of the women felt they could alter their mood by changing what they wore." ,  this is a quote by Dr. Karen Pine, that examined the connection between women's emotional states and what they wore. Psychologists like Dr. Pine, there are many other professionals who are aware of the connection between our minds and fashion choices. Being a Fashion Designer, Make-up artist and Stylist for the past 4 year professionally, we tend to direct looks by moods and atmosphere and t

PRO BLO CURL ME

I have to say I am not a natural when it comes to hair, I had to study the art of styling hair, but when it comes to my own hair, and I’m flat out darn lazy . I’ve got thin hair that gets frizzy and very flat. It used to be really straight and sleek hair when I was little but being introduced to color  and a set of GHD straighteners at the tender age of 18 meant I just about learned to blast it dry and let the GHD’s do the work in term of styling but the color  required a lot more TLC . I love having it done at the hairdressers and always go for a blow wave where they leave numerous round brushes curled around my hair. They are quite uncomfortable but so worth it for the end result. Wouldn’t it be great if you could get the same effect without that uncomfortable feeling and that also adds volume?   Pro Blo Curl Me  claims to do just that.                  PRO BLO CURL ME REVIEW Pro Blo Curl Me is a hair styling system which includes six ceramic brush barrels and a detachabl

Mariah Carey's Holiday Collection  For MAC Has Arrived  — and It's Next-Level Amazing When the little bird tweeted that MAC Cosmetics would be launching a second  holiday collection with elusive chanteuse Mariah Carey , we had just one hope for the launch: bling! . An assortment of cosmetics inspired by the diva demands sparkle — in the formulas, all over the packaging  and truly grateful, MAC delivered. In the collaboration's teaser image, which MAC  dropped in its social media channels on Tuesday, we see Carey lounging on a leather couch that's covered with thousands of tiny, snowflake-like crystals . She herself is also lu
