The Shiseido 7 Color Powders Revival Centennial Edition

Move over... Creamy  color  correctors! There's a new set of skin-evening formulas in town, and they now come in powder form.    Allow me to introduce you to the just-launched Shiseido 7 Color Powders Revival Centennial Edition set, which features,  count 'em ,  seven color-correcting powders. In honor of Shiseido's O.G. Rainbow Beauty Powder, which launched in 1917 almost 100 years ago , the beauty giant just dropped a gorgeous, limited-edition set of color-correcting powders, all neatly packaged in small satin cream-colored boxes reminiscent of sweet little  engagement ring  boxes. Sadly, no sparklers were stashed in these mini cases. Like other color correctors on the market, these powders are designed to cover specific issues. So, for example, white, which should be applied to the T-zone, brightens; yellow evens out the complexion all over; beige smooths texture; rose, which should be brushed on the apples of cheeks, gives skin a subtle

Flares and skinnies and boyfriends, oh my!!!

Until I mastered the art of body shapes vs clothing shapes, I wore anything and everything whether it suited me or not and I thought i looked great. Until.... I looked back through the photo gallery and  realized  how wrong I was. At times I looked rounder than a pumpkin and other times I looked stumpy and others I looked great. That is when I decided to revisit the body shapes vs jeans and share my tips with you all.     We'd wear jeans every day if we could, but sometimes we wonder if we can pull a particular style off, and while the answer is yes!   You can and should wear whatever you want, there are certain silhouettes that are more flattering than others. Here, the best pairs for petite, tall, curvy, straight and somewhere in between. IF YOU'RE PETITE...TRY STRAIGHT-LEGGED CROPS Just because you’re petite doesn’t mean you have to wear heels to look taller. Find a smart pair of jeans that hit just above the ankle to make your legs look a touch longer and t

What Happens When You Condition Before You Shampoo?

If you've got fine hair, but need some intense moisture to mend damage, you may want to rethink your lather-rinse-repeat routine. Even just as a joke, we've always wondered exactly what would happen if we were to swap the order of our shampoo and conditioner, but as it turns out, it's a great way to give your strands hydration without causing them to go limp. Conditioner does nourish the hair, but can also weigh it down. So, if you shampoo after you condition, it will whisk away any residue.   Clean hair is bouncy hair!   The technique has been dubbed reverse washing, and it's likely to change the way you shower. Even if you don't have fine hair, it's a great technique to try with your everyday conditioner, not to mention, those heavier masque formulas recommended roughly once a week. By cleansing after, you'll be eliminating any lingering buildup either formula can leave behind.  Brands like TRESemme are already on board, with a reverse washing

How to Whiten Your Teeth with Activated Charcoal

As a coffee addict, I have been searching for natural ways to whiten my stained teeth. While most of the ones I tried were quite ineffective and often abrasive, I found out that activated charcoal is a safe, effective option.         Whiten Your Teeth with Activated Charcoal The thought of using charcoal in your mouth may sound scary, however activated charcoal has been processed with oxygen and either zinc chloride or calcium chloride. When charcoal is purified through this process it becomes safe and is widely used in hospitals and medical facilities as a poison remedy. The concept behind using activated charcoal to whiten teeth lies in the binding ability of charcoal. Activated charcoal attracts the tannins, a group of compounds that is found in stains (caused by coffee, herbal tea, foods, etc.). With dedicated use, you should be able to see results in only a few weeks. The advantages of using this method are the cost, how safe it is, and that it does not cause any e
