You may have heard of “jamsu” , the Korean makeup trend that gives you long-lasting matte skin in seconds. I challenged myself and put it to the test and found the pros and cons that come with this technique. What Is “Jamsu?” exactly “Jamsu,” which translates into “submerge,” consists of basic steps such as, patting handfuls of baby powder/ translucent powder on your face after you put on your primer, foundation, and concealer ( well not in that particular order). Then you plunge your entire face into a sink or bowl filled with cool/ ice water for 15 to 30 seconds. Thereafter, you pat dry with a towel and finish the rest of your makeup. The result is perfectly matte skin that lasts all day. I gave this technique a trial shot last week to see if the results were really worth the buzz. I chose a weekday so I can test its mattifying super powers throughout the workday plus a late dinner out with a group of family and friends. Here is, what I did, what I learned, and
