Pil`aten Mask review and a DIY version

Blackheads are those nasty little things we all hate to have and try to remove as quickly as possible in order to enjoy a beautiful face and skin. There are several methods you can use to get rid of blackheads and you will find here one of the most efficient so far.

After watching a large number of vlogs and videos on the Pil`aten Mask, I decided to try it out. I was a bit skeptical especially with the thought that my skin may become dry and flaky if one had to apply something of such a harsh nature.

I did the full on pamper session with a wash, exfoliate and a steam then applied the mask, and to my amazement the mask had removed most of the blackheads I had on my nose, chin and cheek area.

I was more than delighted with the results and was ready to recommend it to anyone else. The second time i needed to use the mask, was two weeks later, but this time I was short on time and could not do the full pamper session. I did the wash and a quick exfoliate and applied the mask, I had noticed a lot less of the Blackheads were removed.

This was proof one needed to steam their face to open the pores so the Blackheads could be removed more easily and to achieve the results desired.

Well for those of you, who do not want a store bought product, I have just the solution, below is a DIY blackhead removing mask one can make in the comfort of your home.

What you will need (for homemade mask):

– 1 tbsp. unflavoured gelatin;
– 2-3 tbsp. milk;
– spoon;
– a small bowl;
– a makeup brush.

Directions:
1. Take the gelatin and put it into the bowl then pour the milk over it.
2. With a small spoon, mix the ingredients well then put them into the microwave for about 15 seconds. This will make the milk and gelatin to blend in one omogen composition and it will make it sticky.
3. Take it out, test how warm it is because you don’t want to burn yourself and apply the composition to your face as soon as possible with the help of the makeup brush.
4. Let it dry then gently peel it off.
You will have to be careful to avoid applying this to sensitive areas or on your eyebrows, it is very sticky and really effective, you don’t want hair from the eyebrows to come off while you are doing this process.

Well just a few ingredients mixed and some time for beauty treatments will resolve this problem of blackheads. The method consists in applying a mask that will “catch” the blackheads and will pull them out when removing it. You can use masks as PIL'ATEN  as I have or you can make a natural homemade mask.

Update this post with your experiences, would love to hear from you.

xoxo

The Shiseido 7 Color Powders Revival Centennial Edition

Move over... Creamy  color  correctors! There's a new set of skin-evening formulas in town, and they now come in powder form.    Allow me to introduce you to the just-launched Shiseido 7 Color Powders Revival Centennial Edition set, which features,  count 'em ,  seven color-correcting powders. In honor of Shiseido's O.G. Rainbow Beauty Powder, which launched in 1917 almost 100 years ago , the beauty giant just dropped a gorgeous, limited-edition set of color-correcting powders, all neatly packaged in small satin cream-colored boxes reminiscent of sweet little  engagement ring  boxes. Sadly, no sparklers were stashed in these mini cases. Like other color correctors on the market, these powders are designed to cover specific issues. So, for example, white, which should be applied to the T-zone, brightens; yellow evens out the complexion all over; beige smooths texture; rose, which should be brushed on the apples of ...

An update on havoc, or maybe not... PART 1

OMG, This was typed out and I forgot to post it. So, as promised I would give an update on my new take on life for 2018. One month down the line and I have no words to associate with this way of life. It had strong points, weak points and points of pure surprise. Being un-ruled by uniformity and time limits, self given freedom, made days go by with such bliss. I would go to work and eat at odd times, do work in my own time and realized I worked better working at my own pace with no background harping from management behind me. How did I get management to back off my case, I didn't do it intentionally, it was a random out burst of frustration. I was handed a project to handle with a 2 day tight time frame, and, me going through a phase of rebellious change was not going to keep to this time frame, unless I truly wanted to, which at that point I didn't want to. I had brainstormed ideas and methods of completion of the work and choosing the quickest way forward. It was ...
