An update on havoc or maybe not, PART 2

Here, I thought part 2 would be typed and rolled out in no time, but, it's clearly no surprise that I have slacked and the release is so delayed.

I thought I'd give the havoc and unorganized lifestyle a bit more time and space to spill out in front of me before I give the verdict. Let me down right honest,

"I CANNOT DO THIS ANY LONGER!"

I have seen the passed few months literally spill out at me, from unplanned events, to last minute clothing shopping and unexpected set backs, taking me a back. I prefer my daily to be more organised and structured to fit in time  for everything, I plan out months in advance if my wardrobe would need updating and changes, I am hands on with events and coordinating them accordingly, I normally can handle moments of unexpectedness if they rare.

I have realized I'm too much of a controller and planner, I need to be organised and well prepared, to allow the unexpected to happen, I'm not one who loves to be surprised and I want to be prepared to handle any situation  and every situation and have control over the outcomes. This mayhem has led to me missing so many important deadlines and completely miscalculating so much. At times this unorganized life has gotten me in arguments that today, when I look back they could have been avoided completely.

I normally revamp my wardrobe off season, after clearing out old items and handing them over to charity. I would take stock of what is needed and what I would want and go out to shop like a pro, but this year, all that went square shape. I was uncertain of what I owned versus what I needed and then again it was what fitted me well versus what needed to be given away.

My personal routines went from twice a week to when I remember and have time to do them. There was no time for face masks, body scrubs or even body wraps, the DIY spa went out the door.

Yes, gym time was a permanent "No", well after my accidental shoulder injury I was put off, but since then I haven't even made time to strengthen it or made time to stretch it out as a start. Time was no longer on my side.

The food department in my life was even worst, I went from eating well to eating like a fast food junky, I never took lunch or made an effort to make proper lunch, I stopped making a proper dinner to just eating the quickest thing in the kitchen, toasted cheese sandwiches became my staple.

I noticed my skin and my appearance took a toll, I look dragged out and withered around the edges. My skin took strain with tons of break outs from bad eating habits and was left with tons of marks.

This was not me, not the person I was used to, this was just unacceptable.I decided to swap it around and be a lot stricter on myself to break the bad habits and ruts I have allowed myself to fall into. The start is hard and slow but it is a beginning.

I started changing my eating habits and making more time for better choices and better food and less junk. I ensured I started building "me time" back into my week, with face masks and body brushing as a starting point, the rest will fall back into place. In a month my skin has shown its appreciation and started to glow and feel more refreshed, but it is a long road to recovery, especially with all those marks still visible.

When it comes to planning my life and days, I have recently gotten back into diarising my day and events so I have full control of what I need to do and when I can factor what I'd like to do into my schedule. This has been a blessing in disguise, this has worked before for me and I have turned back to it. Yes, mayhem and unstructured lifestyles may suit many as they free spirited, but when you have to juggle, your day job, your dream job, social life and reality into one, they need a bit of help so they don't cloud your brain and ruin your groove.

Now, gym, hmmm, finding the motivation and inspiration to get back out there, with fun ways to build up strength and flexibility, is a challenge. I'm yet to find my groove back into this, if there are any suggestions please do share. I use to be religious in yoga and discipline in body weight and core strengthening, but it all faded with my lifestyle. I use to be a part of the local gym, but I have not gone back since the injury, I don't think I'm ready to go back there just yet, I want fun and innovative ways to train and uplift my spirit before I conform to the gym.

I have learnt my lesson in 2018, I may not be a person who sets out resolutions on the 31st December, or the person who decides what the year will hold. But, I am the person who sets out individual and personal goals, that align to my long term plan and I am driven by those ideas.

The swap around will be revolutionary...

P.S. Will be doing a round up on the swap around  and maybe a few inserts on what controlled and organised methods have done for me.

xoxo

The power of the Haldi Ubtan

Lil spice never stop the sun from shining... 😂😂😂 In my previous post named "Turmeric for clear, bright and acne free skin" posted on the mid 2017, are some variations to this haldi ubtan, used for various skin types and conditions. I have been using and speaking about 'Turmeric Masks" before most people  and companies have been investing time and testing into turmeric and it's properties.. The new craze is the 'Golden magic of turmeric', and people are buying into it, without knowing the history and origin of it.  Here's a bit of Background: 5000 years ago on the Indian subcontinent, men and women took care of their skin and hair during rituals connected with religion.   In the ancient   Ayurveda   tradition, face and body masks called  U btan   were applied and adjusted according to the season. Ubtan masks are in fact the very first cosmetic product ever used in the world. Ubtan is a mix of various herbs, plants, roots and flowers
