I finally received my international palettes, from Morphe, Kylie, Cleof and Colorpop. So excited I decided to create a look with the Kylie "Take me on vacation" Palette. This is the first of many to follow using the different palettes to create various looks and to test and review the palette.  The palette with swatches:  I was invited to a tutus and tiara bridal shower, perfect opportunity to do a dramatic eye on a subtle face and light contouring. The colors used from the Kylie "take me on vacation" palette are marked below. Alluring Lush

I always walked in and out or just pass the door of a Lush store 100 times, for the aroma of their products. Wish there was a way that i could post it up on my blog, but, there isn't you will have to make a visit to the store to understand the  magical spell of the fragrances that roam the Lush store. It is addictive and heavenly of pure indulgence, seems wrong to lust over a heavenly smell but, you just do with Lush. I am a fan of their Bath bombs and their shower jellies and have been using them for months on and off, as a personal treat to myself. Lately, Lush had launched the jelly masks and the hair treatments, the promos had me intrigued. I dragged my partner in crime to the store In Rosebank Mall, for a look around, tester and to purchase a few of these new items to put on trial. He isn't one for shopping and standing in stores for long periods of time, he's such an online shopper, but, online shopping doesn't give you the Lush lust unless you hit by the fra

Mystique Galaxy Palette Part 2…

After my swatch review, I have decided to do a glamour ballet look using the Mystique Galaxy Palette to create the look. I picked on accents and colors from my choker as the bases of my inspiration for my look. Using the following colors I have created this eye candy. My second look was completely the opposite, no story or inspiration it was purely for color shock. To ensure that the product could handle the need for color and pigmentation and that it will endure the pressure of the weather and photography.  The colors used for this look My final verdict is that, the palette is a cheaper version to the Jaclyn Hill Morphe Set and it is color intense and can give results if a   primer is used. The palette, it has a good color range with many popping ideas to create. I do find that there are 2 to 3 colors that have disappointed me as I have indicated in my previous post on this palette. The eye shadow set on a primer to allow for a

Cleanse redefined

Our lives are flooded but not by rain or water, we drown in our lifestyles. We have work, gym, families to run and we have too look flawless doing it. The key is looking ' on point ' for more than 18 hours a day. The stress and strain can drain our skins completely leaving us to shrivel up like prunes. In previous posts I have ventured through DIY face treatments and face masks that I have personally tried. I have given insight to achieving perfect makeup from good skin care. My skin takes a toll from the make-up and the strain of a busy lifestyle too. I also have old acne scars and I used to love picking at my skin when it had pimples so the scars have remained.  I have pigmentation marks that are now surfacing. Being female with all of these demands are taxing on one, taxing on me. I am certainly not flawless but I do care extra for my skin. I have come across the Skin Republic range, I have read reviews but have not tried it till now. Stores: Dichem, Edgars, Cl

Freedom

Freedom Makeup was all new to me by brand and by product, being skeptical I had purchased the Glow Ambient and Brighten highlighter to test and trial.  They are priced at R85-00, which is reasonable. I have put it to trial on 2 occasions, a formal and a casual occasion to allow the product a fair chance.   Formal  versus   Casual The product is a large size, it is not powdery or messy. It is easy to apply using a fan brush or your fingers. The glow is radiant and natural and illuminates in the light. It is a highlighter I have begun to love and my all new favorite. The color is perfect with my truly Indian skin tone, depending on the mood and the event one can achieve a golden glow or a rose gold vintage finish. Perfect highlighter to aid those dull and gloomy days. A brand I now have faith in and trust their quality, that, I have already placed further product orders, reviews will follow in du

Florma SA

I was introduced to Florma SA by Rushana Isaacs at a Glam Queens, Mocktails and Makeovers event, held in September.         I was so intrigued by the perfect coverage foundation, as it required no translucent powder to set it. I had looked Florma SA up on Instagram and DM to enquire about getting samples, as I have typical Indian skin tone and require 2 colors of foundation to achieve my perfect coverage. The samples had cost a total of R99-00 including delivery. Florma SA had just asked for my current foundation brand names and the tone codes I use at the moment. It took them 3 days to match my colors but they had kept me updated daily till it was dispatched. When my samples arrived, I was super excited to try them out. I decided to put Florma SA perfect coverage foundation to the test, as many as the samples would allow and to my surprise they allowed, 4 looks with 4 different brushes and methods to see if I could an achieve flawless per
