Florma SA

I was introduced to Florma SA by Rushana Isaacs at a Glam Queens, Mocktails and Makeovers event, held in September.

I was so intrigued by the perfect coverage foundation, as it required no translucent powder to set it. I had looked Florma SA up on Instagram and DM to enquire about getting samples, as I have typical Indian skin tone and require 2 colors of foundation to achieve my perfect coverage. The samples had cost a total of R99-00 including delivery. Florma SA had just asked for my current foundation brand names and the tone codes I use at the moment. It took them 3 days to match my colors but they had kept me updated daily till it was dispatched. When my samples arrived, I was super excited to try them out.

I decided to put Florma SA perfect coverage foundation to the test, as many as the samples would allow and to my surprise they allowed, 4 looks with 4 different brushes and methods to see if I could an achieve flawless perfection.

The first look was a nude and natural dewy look created using the real technique foundation brush for an airbrushed look

The second look was an Indian cultural look with a rich golden glow with a deep and intriguing story, using a real techniques kabuki brush.

The third was a simple ballet glamour look, with a feather light rose gold glow, this look was achieved using a cheaper quality brush by impulse

The last look was a modest glamour look fit enough for the fashion runway. This look was created with a silicone blender

After all 4 looks were done and worn over a long period of time ranging from 8 hours to 12 hours a time, I was impressed that the perfect coverage foundation required no buffing during the day or translucent powder to set it, only a setting spray. The product did not shine or cake on my oily T-zone, the foundation had remained in place. The South African climate is not the easiest one to wear flawless make-up in, without a fuss or a buff, but with this foundation I have found it to be adjustable to the climate and the maintenance while wearing is minimal. I am a Makeup Artist by profession but when it comes to my own makeup, I prefer minimal effort and minimal maintenance during the course of the day.

Finally, I decided to purchase the full-size product at a cost of R349-00 each, Florma SA, they were helpful and assisted me through the online purchase process, in 2 days my delivery was on my work desk. A product I would recommend to any one in search for an excellent coverage foundation.

The power of the Haldi Ubtan

Ubtan masks are in fact the very first cosmetic product ever used in the world. Ubtan is a mix of various herbs, p...
