Cleanse redefined

Our lives are flooded but not by rain or water, we drown in our lifestyles. We have work, gym, families to run and we have too look flawless doing it. The key is looking 'on point' for more than 18 hours a day. The stress and strain can drain our skins completely leaving us to shrivel up like prunes.

In previous posts I have ventured through DIY face treatments and face masks that I have personally tried. I have given insight to achieving perfect makeup from good skin care.

My skin takes a toll from the make-up and the strain of a busy lifestyle too. I also have old acne scars and I used to love picking at my skin when it had pimples so the scars have remained.  I have pigmentation marks that are now surfacing. Being female with all of these demands are taxing on one, taxing on me. I am certainly not flawless but I do care extra for my skin.

I have come across the Skin Republic range, I have read reviews but have not tried it till now.

Stores: Dichem, Edgars, Clicks, Zando
Price: R45 to R105
Range: Face, hands, feet and eye masks
Website: www.theskinrepublic.com

I was fascinated by the oxygen cleanse, only because the mask grows bubbles and foams up as you wait and relax. Here I will talk you through the 20 min process of my oxygen cleanse experience.

So after a two week break I decided to try out the Cleanse refine Face sheet mask. With my pigmentation scaring and my old acne scars I wanted to try this and decide if the the serum will be able to heal and reduce the blemishes. The blemish do not define me or make me less confident but I do fear they will darken with the heat of the sun and as I age I might learn to hate them. So why not start young and banish them from the surface of my skin.

My final verdict, although I enjoyed the foaming effect of the oxygen mask but its not a mask I would not use  the Oxygen sheet mask on a monthly bases, as it gives my skin a refreshed and lively look and detoxes it at the same time, yet the mask is not the correct fit to my skins needs at the moment. I think this mask would work wonders in winter for my pale face.

With combination skin and the heat of summer at this present time, I have to choose face masks and products to accommodate the climate and skin changes at the same time. we all should take the weather changes into consideration when choosing face masks and the way our skin reacts to the weather.

Personally my skin in summer is a lot more susceptible to break out because of clog pores or lack of water in my system or bad diet and too much dairy products, this is why i think a more cleansing and calming face treatment is more suitable for this time of the year. The cleanse refine has added tea tree oil which calms skin and works wonders on pimples.

The cleanse refined mask with the serum, is a mask I am putting on a longer trial to see if the serum will reduce my pores and blemishes while keeping my skin fresh, young and clear.

The skin republic range has many more products to try out and their prices are reasonable, give them a try and look out for more reviews in the future on other items in their range.

The power of the Haldi Ubtan

Lil spice never stop the sun from shining... 😂😂😂 In my previous post named "Turmeric for clear, bright and acne free skin" posted on the mid 2017, are some variations to this haldi ubtan, used for various skin types and conditions. I have been using and speaking about 'Turmeric Masks" before most people  and companies have been investing time and testing into turmeric and it's properties.. The new craze is the 'Golden magic of turmeric', and people are buying into it, without knowing the history and origin of it.  Here's a bit of Background: 5000 years ago on the Indian subcontinent, men and women took care of their skin and hair during rituals connected with religion.   In the ancient   Ayurveda   tradition, face and body masks called  U btan   were applied and adjusted according to the season. Ubtan masks are in fact the very first cosmetic product ever used in the world. Ubtan is a mix of various herbs, plants, roots and flowers

An update on havoc or maybe not, PART 2

Here, I thought part 2 would be typed and rolled out in no time, but, it's clearly no surprise that I have slacked and the release is so delayed.  I thought I'd give the havoc and unorganized lifestyle a bit more time and space to spill out in front of me before I give the verdict. Let me down right honest,  "I CANNOT DO THIS ANY LONGER!" I have seen the passed few months literally spill out at me, from unplanned events, to last minute clothing shopping and unexpected set backs, taking me a back. I prefer my daily to be more organised and structured to fit in time  for everything, I plan out months in advance if my wardrobe would need updating and changes, I am hands on with events and coordinating them accordingly, I normally can handle moments of unexpectedness if they rare. I have realized I'm too much of a controller and planner, I need to be organised and well prepared, to allow the unexpected to happen, I'm not one who loves to be surprised
